WOW! What a fabulous summer.

There has been so much going on that I haven’t had a chance to put paw to pad, until now.

Mr. and Mrs. Barr and I were away in Muskoka where I got to be  “beast of the wild” and I loved it. I went dock jumping and swimming every day.  Mr Barr loves throwing the ball for me and when he’s finished I’d go swimming after the ducks, chasing frogs and barking at the boats on my lake.  Mrs. Barr and I did some synchro swimming….in true Olympic spirit!

Sarah Telford was away in England with her family. They did the English proud and went skeet shooting, or as she put it, “Right then: clay pigeon shootin’, in  Devon, England! Family activity. First time for all of us. It’s a country pursuit. Boys loved it, of course”. No doubt this was another great use of her keen Pilates eye.

Sarah C girls

Sarah Cahill had a much needed Northern Ontario fix. Here are her girls camping at Killbear provincial park. The July sunny afternoons at the French River campsite were a sight to behold and some great memories were made here.

Cindy Campbell enjoyed the summer from her front porch, observing her garden, talking to the neighbours, reading books and enjoying Iyengar practice videos posted on the internet. Oh, yes, and also the appropriate beverages! Cindy got a new do this summer…check it out.  She looks fabulous!

Now Mr. And Mrs. Barr are getting things ready for the Fall 2016 Schedule.  I have had a sneak peek and there will be new classes and more amazing workshops coming your way…stay tuned!

what people are saying..

  • The best place for quality instructors. Great one on one instruction and group classes are very enjoyable too. One of the best places I have found for good pilaties classes.

  • Thank you to the excellent Teachers at The Pilates Barr. My chiropractor recommended Pilates to me as a sound method of strengthening my body. I can say it works! I have never felt better and stronger since I joined the Pilates Barr. The teachers are so professional and the classes are conducted with the care and learning and safety of students. I feel totally confident learning this method and without fear of injuring myself. It’s a fun learning environment.

  • The Pilates Barr is a cool place to spend a few hours a week. My twice weekly sessions help develop core strength and improve balance and all those good things. But that time also gives me space to step away briefly from the concerns of ordinary life in a calm and supportive environment — and that is equally important to me. Lisa, garden designer.
