We are a small community studio. We keep our classes to 10 people or less so that we can provide individual attention to each participant. This ensures a safe, challenging and fun workout for all.

ABOUT PILATES

Pilates is an innovative and safe system of mind-body exercise using a floor mat or a variety of equipment. It evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates and can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Build strength without excess bulk. It is a safe, sensible exercise system that will help you look and feel your very best. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. It also improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion. It can even help alleviate back pain.

WHO CAN BENEFIT?

Everybody can benefit from it. It’s a systematic way of getting fit, building your core strength and stability so that your everyday movements are more precise and efficient.

PILATES FOR MEN

Pilates is not an exercise system designed to give you big muscles, it’s designed to give you precision in how you move. Men often use it to help them become more efficient and precise in their movements so they can excel at tennis, golf or other sports.

As we get older we develop bad habits in our motion, we get bad posture, you’ve got a pain from an old injury and it’s now affecting you, you don’t walk as well…if you’re just 60 years old, you don’t want to slow down. You want to be able to travel, to walk places. Pilates helps you become more precise in your movements so that you can do these things, you can get more done in a day, or you’re less tired at the end of the day.
